This is it

It has been exactly 466 days since I started this blog. Better late than never right? My first assignment is to write and publish a “who I am and why I’m here” post. Why has it taken me this long to write? I’d say it’s the fear of the uncertain but with this new year, let us throw fear out the window….to a fresh start, here goes 🙂 :

Who am I?
I’m Njeri Mbogo, also like to be called Sandie (first name Sandra), I’m a Human Resources Professional and very passionate about what I do, I like learning new things and meeting new people….the rest you will get to know along the way.

Why I am here?
I had an idea to share my experiences at work and that is why I started this blog. Part of my work includes Recruitment, where I get to sift through hundreds and sometimes thousands of applications and find so many small mistakes that we make while applying for vacancies that make us not get the job or even smell an interview.

With these experiences, I’d like to share some tips and tricks with examples on how to get your application a step closer and general work stuff. I will probably also share some random tales here and there.

If you happen to stumble upon this blog, welcome and join me in this journey as we get learn more about each other, the work life and share our experiences.

1 year 3 months and 10 days later, this is it….the journey begins.

I’ve always believed am not good with my writing schedules. Worse still I thought I was the only one with this problem. Well I stumbled upon your blog and realised I shouldn’t be so hard on my self. Iean its a common disease.
I hope we get to interact further. Actually I was going thru comments in Maggy’s blog and was a bit surprised to find another Kenyan.

you have a really nice writing style and I really like the subtle humour & tying the whole article together with the “It has been exactly 466 days since I started this blog.” & “1 year 3 months and 10 days later, this is it….the journey begins.” GOOD JOB 🙂 🙂 🙂

Reblogged this on From My Mind… and commented:
I love the post; I remember when you came to my club to give a talk on HR and what I gathered from that helped me in securing my current job at the bank. I’ll definitely be following on your post, and it may sound cliche but the blog has a very bright future. Count on me to reblog it to my blog’s followers/readers
